The Gold Country Chapter (GCC) of the Freedom Through Vigilance Association (FTVA) was chartered in 1998 and is 45 miles north of Sacramento, California.  It is in the area of Beale Air Force Base; the home of the U-2, Global Hawk and the 548th Intelligence Group.  Beale AFB was also home to the SR-71 "Blackbird” until it was taken out of service in the early 1990’s.  The GCC is comprised of present and former members of the USAFSS, ESC, AFIC, AIA and ACC; who served in Korea, Vietnam, Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operations Iraqi/Enduring Freedom.  Its members consist of past and present Commanders, officers, Top-4, NCO’S, active enlisted, retired military and civilians who have served in USAFSS, or its successor commands.
