D. OLD BUSINESS:
(A) 2005 Reunion Date: Chris Cook reported that AIA had not yet made a decision
but a meeting was scheduled next week and MGen Lebras was expected to make
a decision at that time. A motion was made and seconded to hold the 2005
reunion on Sept 22-24th. The motion was defeated. A motion was made, seconded
and withdrawn to hold the 2005 reunion on 20-22 Oct. Despite the fact that
the December Newsletter would be held and mailed with the bulk of the general
Christmas mail, probably delaying its delivery as Fourth Class mail, the
Board decided to hold the Newsletter pending a decision by AIA on its Commanders’ Conference
and SENSOR OLYMPICS dates. An FTVA Board e-mail vote would be held once those
dates are available. Chief Colquhoun agreed to contact Jimmy Jones, AIA/SO,
about base entry procedures for 2005’s activities.
(B) Support for Institute of Texan Cultures Exhibit: Dr. Shirley Mock presented
a support request to the Board for the Institute of Texan Culture exhibit: Duty,
Honor, Country; The Experience of War. Chief Colquhoun agreed to see if AIA might
sponsor an exhibit. The Board tabled a motion to provide $1,000 to Dr Mock for
logistics and planning. Other sources for archival materials were passed on to
Dr mock, including the Heritage Chapter and Larry Tart.
E. NEW BUSINESS:
(A) Chapter Area members: The Gold Country Chapter was granted permission
to recruit members from the 152 Nevada Air National Guard Squadron.
(B) 2005 Base Entry Requirements: Chief Colquhoun agreed to contact Jimmy Jones,
AIA/SO, concerning 2005 Base Entry procedures.
The meeting adjourned at 3:20PM. The next meeting will be held January 21,
2005 in the SSFCU Board room.
Respectfully Submitted,
BOB COPE
Acting Secretary
